Electra Vehicles settles in Torino to grow on the battery market: electric mobility and beyond to become a global player.

Founded in 2015 in Boston (USA) and with subsidiary headquarters in Torino, Electra Vehicles is a new emerging player on the battery market with significant growth prospects at a global level. Electra produces software solutions based on Artificial Intelligence (AI) for the electric vehicle and energy systems industry with the aim of optimizing battery performance, allowing greater autonomy, extension of useful life and charging times reduction. Electra's high-tech and innovative products aim to fill the design, performance and safety gaps that prevent the electric vehicle industry from accelerating global electrification.

The project in Piemonte

In 2022 Electra Vehicles chose Torino to enter the European market. Here the company located its subsidiary headquarters founding Electra Vehicles Europe, a company employing 15 highly qualified professionals. With the opening at the OGR in Torino, Electra aims to be a forerunner in the battery management systems of the future, combining elements of battery science, Data Science, ML/AI and Cloud Computing to extend battery life, maximize performance and predict risks related to anomalies and breakdowns in the field of electric mobility and beyond. The advanced design, predictive analytics and adaptive control systems patented by Electra in Torino exploit the modelling of batteries based on Electro-Physics in combination with Machine Learning. 

Electra chose Piemonte for its human resources, the willingness of the institutional and entrepreneurial eco-system to invest in new technologies and for its long heritage in the automotive and aerospace sectors.
