Piemonte: Kering's Strategic Hub for Global Luxury.

KeringKering is a global player in the luxury sector, known for its management and development of prestigious fashion, leather goods and jewelry houses. The group's portfolio includes leading names such as Gucci, Saint Laurent, Bottega Veneta, Balenciaga, Alexander McQueen, Brioni, Boucheron, Pomellato, DoDo, Qeelin, and Ginori 1735, as well as Kering Eyewear and Kering Beauté. With about 49,000 employees and sales of 19.6 billion euros in 2023, Kering has established itself as a leader in the luxury sector, combining tradition and innovation.
Italy has been a key pillar in Kering's strategies since 1999, the year that marked the purchase of the first stake in the Gucci brand and the beginning of a series of initiatives that have seen the French group invest massively in Italian craftsmanship, technical and managerial skills. Currently, the group has 49 industrial and product development sites in Italy, with about 13,500 direct employees and a significant impact on the local economy, generating 11.6 billion euros in consolidated revenues and contributing 10.9 billion euros to Italy's GDP.

The project in Piemonte

In 2021, Kering further strengthened its presence in Italy with the opening of a new global logistics hub in Trecate, Piemonte. Spanning more than 162,000 square meters, the hub is designed to meet the group's growing logistics needs, significantly improving shipping and storage capabilities on a global scale.
The logistics center in the province of Novara is a model of efficiency and innovation: integrating state-of-the-art technology and automation, the hub is designed to be scalable and sustainable, with modern features dedicated to employee well-being. The site currently employs about 1,000 people and is distinguished by its extensive solar power generation system, consisting of photovoltaic panels that make it almost completely energy self-sufficient. In addition, both the warehouse building and the offices are LEED Platinum recognized, a certification attesting to their excellence in energy efficiency and environmental sustainability.
Choosing Piemonte for this crucial investment reflects a focused strategic decision. The region offers an ideal combination of building land availability suited to Kering's needs and a strategic geographic location, close to major manufacturing centers and transportation arteries. This location facilitates synergy among the group's various brands and helps reduce lead times, improving operational efficiency globally.
In addition, Piemonte has long been synonymous with excellence in craftsmanship and luxury. The region has a centuries-old tradition of producing fine textiles, high-quality leather goods and handcrafted jewelry. This cultural and artisanal heritage is reflected in its ability to attract investment from large luxury groups such as Kering. In this context, Kering's investment not only benefits from the resources already present, but also helps to further strengthen the region's role as a luxury hub.
