To experience this fertile environment first-hand to place to be is Torino on 26-27 November on the occasion of the 7th edition of Aerospace & Defense Meetings, the only international business convention for the aerospace industry organized in Italy. This year the event is particularly focused on Piemonte’s cross-sectoriality, cross-technologies and innovative researches and patents: for investors it is an exceptional opportunity to discover new competitive investment openings.
Almost 60 highly-innovative solutions and projects are on display. In the exhibition area there will be technologies and products that can be applied in the aerospace field developed by Piemonte’s SMEs - also in cooperation with the 5 big players - operating in fields not only or not mainly related to aerospace, such as the cleantech, automotive, mechatronics, health and wellness, textiles, clothing, design sectors.
Solutions and technologies by the prestigious Piemonte-based academies - Politecnico and University of Torino and University of Eastern Piemonte - will further demonstrate the region’s capacity and know-how in design and invention patenting offering ideas and projects ready to be developed and attentive to industry needs: groundbreaking propulsion systems (hydrogen/fuel cells), innovative materials and light-weighting, solutions for pilots’ and astronauts’ well-being, drones, pioneering transmissions and AI technologies. Special attention is paid to additive manufacturing and its cross-application: Piemonte’s Universities, start-ups, competence centers, SMEs know how to “think additive” showing some of their most innovative solutions, ranging from low to high TRLs.
