Contenuti Principali

Piemonte stands out as a benchmark region for the agritech sector, thanks to a diversified production system that integrates mechanical know-how, plant engineering and digital expertise across the entire agrifood value chain. Its long-standing tradition in agricultural machinery converges with advanced technologies, creating an ecosystem capable of meeting the demands of increasingly efficient, sustainable and data-driven agriculture.

The production of agricultural machinery and equipment covers all major stages of farming activities: from soil preparation to seeding and fertilization, from crop protection to harvesting. These are complemented by solutions for livestock farming, as well as for transport and material handling, extending to applications in forestry.

Alongside agricultural mechanics, Piemonte also boasts well-established expertise in food processing systems and packaging equipment, with particular strength in bottling and packaging lines. These technologies serve as a crucial link between the agricultural and industrial phases, helping ensure quality, safety and product enhancement throughout the entire value chain.

Another distinguishing feature of Piemonte’s system is its structured network of specialized services supporting industry: advanced machining, the production of polymer and rubber components, finishing and surface treatments, as well as the use of innovative technologies such as 3D printing. These are complemented by high-tech services including data collection via drones and satellites, the development of predictive models and the design and installation of advanced sensors.
The involvement of universities and research centres further strengthens the region’s capacity for innovation. Thanks to this integrated set of capabilities, Piemonte emerges as a comprehensive and competitive ecosystem at both national and international levels, capable of covering the entire value chain.
